A kitchen for ideas, growth and connection.
Established in March 2025, Arouca Soul Kitchen (ASK) is a community organization that focuses on empowering youth and fostering unity among members of the Trinidad and Tobago community. Under the direction of Chairwoman Jenelle Edwards, ASK has developed into an organization that fosters literacy, learning, and connections in the quest of offering opportunities to its members.
At ASK, we strongly believe in learning as a transformational process and we feel every community member regardless of age should have the ability to benefit from tools, mentoring, and platforms that will help him/her develop in any area of interest. This is the reason why we engage in numerous activities ranging from literacy and reading skills to personal development skills.
One activity in particular that stands out among others is Author's Village. Author's Village aims at bringing together local authors from all genres and enabling them to showcase their work while being able to interact with their fans. It is one of the various ways through which ASK helps in building a community in which reading is always cool and every generation is encouraged to learn, develop and grow.
